It’s another installment of the weekly Tubefilter Chart of the Top 50 Most Viewed YouTube Channels Worldwide and a familiar face is in the top spot.
Ryan ToysReview reclaimed its the first place position on the chart this week after a brief European hiatus. The channel headlined by six-year-old Ryan that features the little tyke playing with toys brought home more than 142.5 million views in the week. In a close-ish second place is T-Series. India’s self-described #1 music label closed out the week down 5% to bottom out at nearly 126.5 million views.
Up next in third place is WWE. World Wrestling Entertainment’s YouTube destination is back in the top five after a 13% uptick in views to top out at 122.9 million views on the week. Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations is next up in the #4 spot. The inconceivably popular channel featuring adults dressed in superhero customs clowning around scored more than 117.2 million views during the week.
And rounding out the Top 5 is FamilyFunPack. America’s favorite septet’s online video destination amasses more than 116 million views on the week.
The honor of one of our Top Gainers this week goes to PomPom.
Add another YouTube destination to the list of unbelievably popular channels dedicated to a preadolescent crowd showcasing things glittery, gooey, spongey, and colorful. The seemingly American channel with a confident control of the Korean language is doing well with audiences thanks to a steady supply of Roy G. Biv-friendly uploads peppered with gelatinous substances. This “DIY How To Make ‘Colors Real Coca Cola Milk Gummy Pudding’ Learn Colors Slime Big Syringe,” for instance, easily racked up a seven-figure view count in days after being posted online. That video and a lot more like it contributed to PomPom’s 44% week-over-week increase in views, more than 52.7 million views on the week, and the #37 spot on the worldwide chart.
All in all, the top 50 most viewed YouTube channels accounted for 3,456,683,667 views last week. Here’s the distribution of a few of those channels by multi-channel network:
- Vevo: 9 channels in the Top 50, with Justin Bieber at #8.
- Maker Studios: 4 channels in the Top 50, with TheDiamondMinecart at #14.
- Studio71: 3 channels in the Top 50, with Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations at #4.
- AIR, BuzzFeed, XMediaDigital: 2 channels each in the Top 50, with AIR’s Miss Katy at #28, BuzzFeed’s BuzzFeed Video at #9, and XMediaDigital’s mashamedvedtv at #18.
And here’s the distribution of the this week’s Top 50 YouTube channels by country of origin:
- United States: 21 channels in the Top 50.
- Canada, Great Britain: 5 channels each in the Top 50.
- India: 4 channels in the Top 50.
- Russia, Thailand, Ukraine: 2 channels each in the Top 50.
- Argentina, Brazil, Ireland, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey: 1 channel each in the Top 50.
