The difference is huge. Social video generates 1200% more shares than text and images combined. On top of that, these shares actually mean something: 61% of consumers are more likely to watch company-produced videos that friends have shared.

Shocking, right? Just kidding. Although not as bad as Generation Z (who literally grew up with a smartphone in hand), Millennials have notoriously high expectations when it comes to technology. 80% of Millennials consider video content when researching a purchase decision, and 7 out of 10 Millennials are likely to watch a company video when shopping online. Remember: This consumer demographic has high spending power, so don’t rule them out!
