In Facebook’s latest earning report, Mark Zuckerberg called out its video performance, noting Facebook has reached a milestone of more than 4 billion daily views, with more than 75 percent of global video views occurring on mobile. Increasingly, brands are promoting with native video on Facebook, and consumers are discovering a rival video platform to YouTube.
Here is a list of native video examples from brands on Facebook. There are videos to promote events, provide behind-the-scenes access, show what’s unusual and amazing, and highlight promotional offers. Most of the short videos are teasers for additional content elsewhere.
BuzzFeed is a social news and entertainment company. BuzzFeed syndicates its content on 26 platforms, though primarily on Facebook and YouTube. Its videos generate approximately one billion views a month, only 5 percent of which come from BuzzFeed.com.
This video, Photos That Will Give You Flashbacks To Elementary School, has generated approximately 20 million views and 256,000 likes in one week. This simple montage of images is a good example of content with universal appeal.

Red Bull, the energy drink company, produces videos of sports and lifestyle events that match the brand’s high-octane style. With 42 million likes, Red Bull’s Facebook page frequently provides short teaser videos — viewers can find expanded content on its RedBull.tv.
GoPro is the company that produces the versatile GoPro camera, which can be worn or mounted on a subject for extreme stills and videos. GoPro’s Facebook page has 8.3 million likes.
