Once again, the Buzzfeed brand dominate the Facebook video rankings with three of its pages topping the chart, and a fourth coming at at #21. Buzzfeed Food seems to have found its natural home on Facebook; it very infrequently posts to YouTube, and has only briefly dipped its toe in the water as far as Vine is concerned. The most watched Facebook video for Buzzfeed Video was this 4:42 minute ‘Americans Try Absinthe For The First Time‘. It picked up 19.3 million views and 493K engagements.

Although it uploaded footage regarding teen suicide, flying cars, and the devastating drought in California, it was a video about ‘Rugby Players Stop Game To Let Little Kid Score A Goal’ that proved its most successful, with 18.5 million views and 419K engagements.
In 7th place is Tastemade, one of the leading online foodie networks, whose most popular Facebook upload was ‘Stuffed Cabbage Rolls’,which generated 36.2 million views. We feel that is a good representation of the type of creators that are using Facebook as a hub to publish authority content. However, it’s fair to say that aggregators of video on Facebook are producing the kind of views and community engagement that even the top brands can only dream of.
Freebooting issues aside, Facebook accounts from UniLAD, StreetFX, LadBible and many others attract views in the tens of millions each month with the top 10 compilation accounts generating 6.3 billion views in August 2015, compared to 2.3 billion for branded/top original creator views.
