It’s another installment of the weekly Tubefilter Chart of the Top 50 Most Viewed U.S. YouTube Channels and a channel full of videos full of adults playing with children’s toys is still at the very top.
DisneyCollectorBR continued to hold onto the #1 spot on the Top 50 Most Viewed U.S. YouTube Channels chart for the ninth week in a row. YouTube’s premiere destination for playtime videos featuring children’s toys ended the week with nearly 101.9 million views. In second place is Taylor Swift. The country-turned-pop star’s online video home saw a 1% increase in views to top out at more than 68.4 million of them.
PopularMMOs is next up in the third place position. The top U.S. gamer on the chart this week witnessed a 9% dip in views to score just shy of 68.4 million. Up next is BuzzFeed Videos. The YouTube home of the incredibly popular website for listicles and hard news was up 7% in views on the week, bringing its total to almost 62.8 million.
And rounding out the Top 5 is Wiz Khalifa. The YouTube channel of the hip hop star is still getting a ton of views thank to its official Furious 7 tribute to Paul Walker and closed out the week just shy of 61.2 million.
The honor of one of our Top Gainers in the U.S. this week goes to familyfunpack.
The YouTube channel that’s home to the family friendly antics and ongoings of Alyssa, David, Zac, and Chris – who were all born within 39 months of each other – in addition to their new baby brother Michael had a particularly great week on YouTube. The channel broke into the weekly Top 50 Tubefilter chart for the first time ever thanks to a steady output of cute home movies and and playtime videos. Uploads like “Discovery Hike with the Kids” helped the channel to a 34% week-over-week increase in views, more than 29.9 million views on the week, and the #39 spot on the U.S. chart.
The top 50 most viewed U.S. YouTube channels this week amassed a total of 1,808,786,327 views. Here’s the distribution of a few of those channels by multi-channel network:
- VEVO: 20 channels in the U.S. Top 50, with Taylor Swift the highest-ranked channel of the network at at #2.
- Maker Studios: 4 channels in the Top 50, with markiplierGAME at #8.
- Fullscreen: 2 channels in the Top 50, with PopularMMOs at #3.
- BuzzFeed: 2 channels in the Top 50, with BuzzFeed Video at #4.
