Four months after its debut, YouTube TV is now available in Denver and offers something the competition doesn’t: Live online streams from ABC, CBS and NBC, according to the company.
Competitors like Douglas County’s Sling TV and AT&T’s DirecTV Now don’t have the rights to broadcast all local channels to Denver users.
In Denver, DirecTV Now offers ABC, Fox and Telemundo. Sling only offers Fox On Demand and NBC On Demand, plus Univision. Even YouTube TV doesn’t have them all — it can only offer the Fox national feed in Denver.
But for people who have cut the cord in the Denver area, YouTube is now another option and one with nearly all the major TV networks. The service starts at $35 a month and can be viewed on mobile devices or a TV using a Roku or other streaming device. The $35 plan has about 60 channels, including ESPN, AMC and FX. A full list is posted here.
Last month, YouTube said it was expanding its service to 14 more markets making YouTube TV available to half of all U.S. households. Other new markets include: Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati, Columbus, OH, Jacksonville-Brunswick, Las Vegas, Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, Seattle-Tacoma, Tampa-St. Petersburg-Sarasota and West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce.
